By the end of Update #3, it is planned to have the basis/background down for all the "uber-plots" for the first arc of Apartment 96. Just now in the planning stages, Update #3 is still too early in development for releasing a lot of information. There's no need for a large amount of money anymore, as the prices for upgrades and certain actions in the game are adjusted to compensate. In Update #2, the player now has a choice of five different jobs they can complete in a week, and it only takes one "turn" to finish the job. Update #2 is scheduled for release on April 16, 2021, and features a lot more content, as well as a reworking of the work/money system to reduce the grind and difficulty that was in the original system. Check back here for notes regarding changes to earlier versions. As such, I'm actually still working on the dialogue in the prologue. I kept it mainly as it was and tried crafting a story to that, but my own style and direction made things quite confusing for players at several points. I (Vhaerun) was actually the second writer and entered the project after the first half of the prologue ahd been finished. While most all of the work went into putting together this update, we did go back and make some changes to dialogue in the Prologue. Our first update will be released sometime the first week of February, 2021. What is added to the game is determined by the Devs, though any that are interested in certain types of genres/tags can talk to us about them on our Discord. Updates will try to provide content for all (or at least most) characters, but is subject to change. After the prologue, the game is outlined to become more of a "sandbox" style where the player can choose their own path with whatever characters they want. The aim of the prologue is to introduce the player to several aspects of the game to get them used to playing Apartment 96. * 13 scenes/events spread out over an in-game week. * Introduction to three main characters (Sophia, Julia, and Alex). * Linear story line, though some decisions affect later updates. Prologue (Release Date: October 11, 2020): * Fixes to the hint system, a couple of minor tweaks to gameplay maths, and typo/dialogue fixes. * Dialogue and scene changes to the Prologue for continuity. * Apartment 96 Player's Guide included with the download.
* Phone and Laptop features like tracking score, hints, making money, reliving old memories, and "playing" other F95 VNs. * Gameplay functions and features, including a location tracker, quick time-forwarding, and more. * Basic sandbox mode, allowing players to follow love interests to their own desires. * NSFW scene available for all "main characters" and one new character. * 1 new unnamed character (female) who makes a quick appearance. * 15 added scenes with "main characters," Sophia, Julia, and Alex. The city doesn't have a lot of free spaces to rent. The first problem of many, he finds, is simply getting a place to live. Moving from a small home town and into the city for work is a paradigm shift away from the nearly all-male college and primary schools he's attended, though. Fresh out of college and having landed his first job, it is time for the MC to find a place to live.
